Promote the Philatelic Atmosphere and Facilitate International Exchanges
The Taipei 2023- 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition was held on August 11-15, 2023, at Hall 1 of Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition. This exhibition was co-organized by Chunghwa Post and Chinese Taipei Philatelic Federation. The commencing ceremony was kicked off with a tech-infused fun check-in method, unveiling the opening of the 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition, which demonstrated the concrete achievement of Taiwan’s philatelic cultural heritage and the rooting of philately.

The theme area of the stamp exhibition combined Taiwan imagery with unique stamps from around the world, featuring the immersive Fantasy Stamp Corridor at the entrance, the picturesque Island Charm Area showcasing the beauty of Taiwan, the Youthful Dance Area full of lively and playful atmosphere, the Culinary Culture Area exhibiting Taiwan’s cuisine and souvenirs, and the Classic Stamp Collection Area displaying stamps with different craftsmanship. Some of the most valuable philatelic items that hold great significance were on display, including one of the most valuable stamps in the world, “British Guiana One-Cent Magenta”, the “Earliest Known Cover with Imperial China Stamps”, “Taiwan Commercial Postage Stamp,” and “Taiwan Stamp”. In addition, 21 sets of collections that have received the Grand Prix award were also on display.

To embody the original intention of social public welfare, the Visitor Recruitment Plan was planned.Different public welfare groups were arranged to visit the exhibition every day during the exhibition period, such as Taiwan Public Welfare League, Autism Cultural and Creative Office 2014, Taiwan, Jing Chuan Child Safety Foundation and so on. Furthermore, parent-child philatelic camps and senior philatelic clubs from various places were also invited to visit this exhibition. There were over 180,000 visitors during the exhibition period, and philatelists and members from 26 countries and territories affiliated with the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately joined the event. The exhibition showcased about 1,050 frames of precious stamp collections from both Taiwan and overseas, while 89 postal administrators and stamp dealers from various nations set up booths in the hall to display and a wide range of philatelic items were also for sale. Philatelic enthusiasts from home and abroad gathered together, and this event left deep and wonderful memories for all the visitors.
